Plot introduction · · · · · ·
The national poet Li Shiyao (Park Hae-il), who is over 70 years old, lives in seclusion in a remote villa. His daily life is taken care of by his disciple Xu Zhiyou (Kim Mu-yeol). As a new talent in the literary world, Xu Zhiyou is about to release his first novel "Heart". The unintentional intrusion of Eun-gyo (Kim Go-eun) broke the peaceful life of Li Shiyao and his disciple. Eun-gyo is young, beautiful, and innocent. Li Shiyao seems to have found a little bit of his youthful vitality in her. Seeing that his respected mentor was entangled with a 17-year-old female student, and his status was gradually declining, Xu Zhiyou found it a little difficult to accept, but more of it was jealousy.
Li Shiyao wrote a short story with Eun-gyo as the protagonist, which was discovered by Xu Zhiyou and published in his own name. Unexpectedly, this product of eroticism won the literary award of the year. Li Shiyao was furious and had a fierce quarrel with Xu Zhiyou. It turned out that Xu Zhiyou had never written a novel. He was just a shadow writer for Li Shiyao. All this was seen by Eun-Jiao who happened to pass by. Eun-Jiao also read the novel and mistakenly thought that Xu Zhiyou was interested in her. This little misunderstanding brought a devastating end to the complicated relationship between the three people.
